Jury Service & Civic Duty
Thank you for your willingness to serve in the judicial process. We recognize that jury duty can be time-consuming and, at times, an imposition. However, it is among the highest forms of civic duty a citizen can perform. Your participation is not only valued by courthouse personnel but is also vital to the functioning of our justice system and community.
Jury duty is among the most important civic responsibilities. While it may require adjustments to your schedule, your service ensures that our system of justice remains fair and effective. Few responsibilities offer such a direct and meaningful contribution to our democracy as jury service. Alongside voting, it is one of the most significant ways citizens can actively participate in the judicial system.
